Enjoying the holidays….

Perhaps one of the best parts of the holidays is being able to stay home from school and spend quality time with Marshall and Zoë. It almost felt like I was on maternity leave again, because we woke up when the baby woke up…no 5:30am alarms and no rush to get anywhere. Every day was at my own leisure and so enjoyable- lunches out, last-minute Christmas shopping, playing in the nursery, swinging Zoë outside, or hosting visits from family and friends. There are days when I wish I could be a stay-at-home mom, but then there are others, when I feel so connected to what I do, that I know it’s also a big part of who I am too. It’s a battle that I think every mom faces, and every situation is different. For me, this holiday was a time where I pretended to be that stay-at-home mom and loved every minute of it.
