Many people have asked how Cady is adjusting to life with Zoë in the Jones’ home. Cady is our Yorkie who is seven years old and has been our furry little baby for so long. She has a really good life and Marshall has always joked that he wants her life. She has crafted the perfect life of sleeping, eating and hunting for chipmunks (although, I don’t think that hunting for chipmunks excites Marshall as much as the sleeping part). It has been interesting to see Cady keep some distance from Zoë, and just carry on with her own little routine. Every once in a while, Cady will sneak in a kiss on Zoë’s foot or sleep on the rug in her nursery while we’re hanging out there. She doesn’t want to miss anything and sees it as a perfect opportunity to play fetch with her toys while we’re all hanging out on the floor together. Probably the sweetest moment was last week when Zoë was in a complete meltdown mode (you know, the one where you’ve tried everything and the baby is crying at the very top of her lungs and all you can do is hold her tight and tell her ‘life isn’t that bad’), and Cady gave her a big kiss on her head. It was like she was trying to tell her to feel better. Here are sweet Cady and Zoë together….
