You’re probably accustomed to me spending all of my time talking about baby Zoë. Well, let me introduce you to Baby G, something I fondly refer to as my “nerdy watch”. Yep, in my days of growing up, I always assumed digital watches with the rubber-like straps weren’t the most stylish of accessories, and although my opinion probably hasn’t changed much, this little nerdy gadget, the Casio BG169R-7A, is my new best friend. Yes, it has features that just won’t stop- a telephone directory, international time zones, all the beeps, alarms, and stopwatch functions that one can imagine, but most of all it helps me keep up with little Zoë. It may surprise many of you that with my über-planner personality I have gone most of my life without wearing a watch. It wasn’t until Zoë arrived that I was constantly searching for the time, wondering when was her next feeding, what time did she go to sleep, etc; hence, my happiness that all of that time is now easily accessible on my wrist and without my frantic search to find where I last left my iphone. Baby G, now if you could only predict which days will be lovely and perfect baby days and those days when your arms just don’t seem long enough to retrieve the dropped pacifier in the backseat on a long (and sometimes, loud) drive home.
