It’s hard to believe that Zoë is two months old! The time has been flying by, and we have loved every second. At Zoë’s two month appointment, she had her first round of shots. I think it was harder on me than it was on Zoë. I had been warned by other new moms, but you never are really prepared for your little baby to hurt. Zoë took it like a champ, and I was trying to be as strong as her when it came to holding back my tears. Let’s just say that she won out on that contest! The doctor said that Zoë is doing good, gaining weight and overall is a healthy and happy baby. She weighed in at 11.5 lbs and was 22.5 inches long. This was a first in that she didn’t go to the bathroom on their scale or measuring box- yay, small steps! This was also the week that the doctor reminded us to start setting up a manageable routine when it comes to her sleeping habits as things are starting to set in for her. Luckily in this past week we had one night where she slept 5.5 hours and another night where she slept 6 hours. Her move to her nursery crib has gone well, and when we need a little help, her little giraffe sound machine steps in. Marshall still handles the midnight feeding, and I’m waking up with her whenever that may be in the early morning. It ranges anywhere from 4:30 to 6:30am. It’s so peaceful after her morning feeding as we just fall back asleep on the couch together. There is such a sweet feeling to have her fall asleep on my chest. Sadly, Zoë was running a fever after her shots this week which is a common side effect, so there was one night that was really hard on her. She recovered pretty quickly – thank goodness as we totally witnessed the cry that she was truly capable of that evening.

This week we had some great visits with friends and family. My college and longtime roommate, Kristy, and her husband, Sean, and daughter were in town. It was so good to see Vivian and how much she has grown! Carmen, one of our Mercer college friends, also joined us for a Taqueria lunch. Also this week, I visited my friend Jessica and her new baby, Harper. She is absolutely tiny, beautiful and has a full head of the softest black hair. Jess and Brandon, we are so happy for you and your new family of 3!

We ended the week with a visit from my little sister, Cindy, and her husband, Davis. They are about to set off on a long international adventure starting with Spanish school in Nicaragua, followed by travels that take them from New York to France to Switzerland to Nepal to India to Thailand to Bali….the list sounds pretty amazing and I know they will have some awesome pics and stories to share. Zoë had a fun time hanging out with Aunt Cindy and enjoyed the walk at the park, fun lunches, the last minute errands, the late night bedtime routine, and of course, getting all dressed up with her each morning. Cindy and Davis- enjoy the adventure and can’t wait to have you back in Atlanta!

For Father’s Day, Zoë enjoyed hanging out with Marshall on the sofa- complete with the Euro on the TV and iPad and later that evening, golf! Daddy’s little girl!

Here are some pics from Father’s Day, week 8 and a little fashion show with her hat that she found with Auntie Char and Leigh at a baby sale!

Enjoy your weekend:)
