and another ear infection…

Last week was very tough for our sweet Zoë. We were in and out of the doctor’s office four times in one week, as were were trying our best to help Zoë through an awful double ear infection. The antibiotics were just not taking care of things, so she had to get three shots over three days to really make a difference. You may remember that I mentioned in a previous post that Zoë doesn’t seem to mind the doctor. Well, all has changed! The minute a nurse or doctor walked into the exam room, Zoë went into meltdown mode. Not even the crinkly paper or the company of her wubbanub could soothe her. Even worse is after these shots, she had to wait around for 10-15 minutes to make sure she didn’t have an allergic reaction. There was no early escape, as she continued to scare every little kid in there with her tears. Although it’s probably not recommended for 10 month old patients, Marshall resorted to the old school lollipop as a source of comfort. Hey, whatever works!
