For President’s Day weekend, my best friend from Savannah, Juanna, and her two boys, Turner and Charlie, were planning on joining us for a long weekend in Atlanta. Sadly, Turner got strep throat at the last minute and they weren’t able to make the trip.

We had made plans to go to the Georgia Aquarium while they were here, so since we already had the tickets, Marshall and I took Zoë for her first time. It had been years since I had been to the Aquarium, and honestly all I remember from my first visit were lots of people and lots of strollers- many of which I got bumped by. Who knew that years later, Marshall and I would be those people pushing a stroller in a crowded exhibit. Luckily for us, our tickets were early enough to miss the massive crowds and we got an “up close” view of almost every single tank. We did miss the entry to the Dolphin Tales show (running a bit late due to Zoë’s nap, but as Obi says, “Never wake a sleeping baby”); but to be honest, I’m not sure it would have kept Zoë’s attention. She seemed to enjoy her day at the Aquarium and liked looking at all of the fish, but sadly kept bumping her head into the glass. She didn’t quite get the idea that you can’t really touch the fish in the tanks.

I apologize for the endless photos in this post, but there was so much to see! Turner and Charlie, I promise we’ll go again when you come up to visit! I can’t wait to see you boys and your sweet mama!
