Zoë’s 1st Halloween
“Wow, we’re parents!” That’s what I said to Marshall as we were walking out of our friend’s driveway with a caravan of babies in cute costumes ready to take on our first trick-or-treat outing as parents. I knew it would be fun dressing up Zoë for Halloween, but for some reason our gathering that night felt a little more life-changing. Along with Zoë’s friends- Audrey the monkey, Elsa the ballerina, Harrison the lobster, and Emmie the pink bunny, and Zoë as a sushi roll- we all walked the neighborhood streets for only a total of about five houses:) At the end, Zoë was ready to call it a night and had a small meltdown, at which only a tootsie roll lollipop could soothe. Yep, we’re parents, and yes, we’re the bad parents that didn’t have a proper trick-or-treating bag for our kid and we also let a six month old chew on the paper of a lollipop all the way home. Such a fun night! As for Zoë and friends….sadly, I’ve included the best picture we could get! It’s exactly how I imagined it to be!
And for Zoë’s little photo session at home, you can probably tell that it got better along the way! Happy Halloween!
