Week in review: This was a big week for our little family. It was the first time I had been away from Zoë for more than one night. I was in Denver for a conference (where it was snowing!), and Marshall managed everything back in Atlanta for 3 days. Of course, Zoë loved every bit of the one-on-one time with her dad- from reading (aka chewing) books, playing with her music box, to making her Halloween costume (to be revealed soon). It’s so neat to see her face light up when Marshall enters the room. She is daddy’s little girl for sure! Out in Denver, Nicole and I had a wonderful time catching up with old friends who used to live in Atlanta, as well as many of our friends who work at schools all across the US. Coming home was such a rewarding feeling though. I couldn’t wait to scoop up my baby girl!

My school was on Fall Break this week, and although I worked from home, I took a couple of half-days off to spend time with Zoë. We joined our friend, Jessica, and her baby Harper, and another friend’s baby, Lucy, to hang out and have lunch. I guess this was Zoë first semi- play date (as much as babies can play together). Zoë loved Harper’s toys, and we walked away with the next thing on her wish list- an exersaucer. Yep, didn’t know that term existed, but if you do a search on Amazon, it’s totally a baby gear product- and it’s amazing how many different kids are out there. Luckily, Lucy is loaning us hers!

Also new this week…..carrots! Marshall has become quite the chef of baby food. He’s already made and frozen acorn squash for next week.
