Many of you may have heard the Coldplay song “God Put A Smile Upon Your Face”…

”Where do we go nobody knows?
Don’t ever say you’re on your way down…when
God gave you style and gave you grace
And put a smile upon your face”

Let’s just say we had big smiles on our faces this past week at the Coldplay concert. Matt, Anya, Marshall, and I had a night out with no kids, and a concert that brought us smiles, dancing, singing, and just a night that reminded us about being happy with life.  At one point Marshall looked at the smile on my face and told me I looked like a little kid in a candy shop. Yes, I know part of it was me selfishly smiling about one of our first nights out without worrying about feeding times, dirty diapers and sleep schedules, but I was also smiling at how appreciative I am of everything in my life- Zoë, Marshall, family, friends, happiness, a good job, the list goes on…  Many thanks to Obi for taking care of the 3 kiddos while we enjoyed the concert!

Our family visits continued this weekend with Marcy driving over from Birmingham to have brunch with the little grandkids and Dan joining us for dinner that night. Beckett, Emerson and Zoë will never be short on love! They were all so adorable together- from Beckett holding Zoë’s hand and dumping Zoë’s nursery trashcan (he’s already decided that when he grows up he wants to dump trash on an orange dump truck while he wears a green shirt) to Emerson and Zoë playing on the playmat bubbling at the mouth, cooing, and grabbing things, while trying not to hit their heads together.

Zoë is back to our day-to-day routine with her sleeping a stretch of 5-6 hours a night and being more alert during the day with shorter naps here and there.  Marshall made the comment this morning that she’s growing so fast…so true!

We love you, baby Zoë. Thanks for putting a smile upon our face!
